Da Capo has finally released his self titled album! Well, for now you can get it on Traxsource. The CD will be available in stores soon. The first single off the album ‘Forever’ on which he features Apple Gule has taken radio waves by storm! Be sure to hear this one all over your radio and in all the clubs during the festive season. The album consists of ten tracks and the Limpopo born DJ has featured the likes of Soul Star, Clara Hill and Andyboi amongst others.
We are also proud to announce that DJ Sbu’s album has finally been released. The album which is named MoFaya, is also named after his energy drink and it features the likes of Zahara, Donald, Moneoa and Naima Kay amongst others. This album has been a long time coming from the SAMA award winning DJ and we are just glad that DJ Sbu has finally given us some music to appreciate. The first single from the album ‘Indlela’Yam’ has been doing exceptionally well on the local house scene as well.
It has finally been confirmed that our favourite DJ Euphonik is cooking something hot in studio! It is not clear as to when the album can be expected but we are just glad For The Love of House Vol. 6 is almost ready. Speaking of albums, Heavy K’s debut album has gone gold! We are so excited and also proud of the drum boss! There is no denying that this young man is a hit maker!
Cuebur on the other hand has a brand new jam called ‘Brand New Me’ featuring the talented Zano. The track is a definite hit we tell you! Expect this one to be blasting all over your radios and televisions in the festive season if you haven’t heard it already. Speaking of Zano, we also can’t over his song ‘No lie’ which The Layabouts did a remix of. A fusion of house and electro, the song is harmonious with the beautiful lyrics and Zano's mellifluous voice. Zano is undoubtedly one of the most gifted vocalists in the country. Big ups to him!
In other news, Idris Elba has released a new album in honour of Tata Nelson Mandela titled mi Mandela. There is a particular song on the album we absolutely like called ‘Aero Mathata’. On that song he features an unknown but talented South African vocalist. The sound can be described as house music with a fusion of electro. The Zulu lyrics bring a tribal element to it. The tracks were recorded right here in Johannesburg and the album features a number of South Africa’s unsung talent.
