As 2015 gets nearer to an end, there’s no doubt that this year has served as a good one for music. The second semester of this year saw many of our favourite house music artists release new albums. It has also been confirmed that others will be releasing new musical projects in 2016. Culoe De Song, Da Capo and Unplugged are one of those said to release albums next year.
In no particular order, here is our selection of house albums that we feel you should have (if you don’t have them already) in your musical collection for 2015:
The drum boss came back with a bang this year with another house music offering. As one of South Africa’s hottest young producers, Heavy K just keeps proving that he is here to stay. His latest offering, Respect The Drumboss, has tracks such as ‘Sweetie,’ ‘Umoya’ and ‘Broken Heart’ amongst others. He also worked with the likes DJ Tira, Nokwazi Professor and Mondli Ngcobo.
Although he says he does not define himself as a house music artist but a music artist in general, it is no doubt that Zano is one of the most recognised vocalists in the house music industry. He released his first album under his independent record label this year titled Colours of My Soul.

His current hits ‘Don’t Give Up,’ ‘Better Days’ and ‘Wa Jellwa’, have become harmonious summer anthems and can be heard all over the airwaves. A winner for the second season of SABC’s 1s and 2s, Prince Kaybee released his debut album ‘Better Days’ in October and it features the likes of Ziyon, Audrey, Black Coffee and more. He is one talented man to look out for in this industry.
As one of SA’s most anticipated albums for 2015, Black Coffee’s Pieces of Me lived up to its expectations and is sure one of the hottest releases for this year. In less than two months , his album has reached platinum status and guessing by the look of things, it might go double platinum soon. Click the link to read our full review of Black Coffee’s album.

Needless to say, his album received good reception from his fans.Read our review of it here.
